Artist Residencies

Create Together at Fletcher Farm received a $12,000 grant from the Vermont Community Foundation to launch "Creating in Community," a series of free monthly programs designed to bring neighbors together through collaborative art projects.

The first program was held in October 2025 to rave reviews! The initiative continues monthly, offering residents of all ages and experience levels the opportunity to learn new artistic techniques while working together on community-focused projects. The "Creating in Community" series will feature 11 unique programs throughout the year. Each session will introduce participants to an artistic medium, with individual pieces combined to create a single collaborative work that explores community themes.

Living in rural southern Vermont can be isolating, and art experiences are often not affordable for many people in our community. We seek opportunities to bring community together - this program increases access to art instruction and creative experiences, and fosters connections between neighbors.

The Vermont Community Foundation, established in 1986, serves more than 1,000 funds supporting causes throughout the state. The foundation distributes over $60 million annually to Vermont communities, focusing on closing opportunity gaps and helping residents build secure futures.

Create Together serves the Okemo Valley by providing an inclusive hub for creative exploration. Through accessible equipment and collaborative learning, we empower individuals to develop their passions and thrive in a supportive community.
