Explore techniques in welding, brazing and forming sheet metal into 3D shapes with local metal artist Piper Strong. The goal is to learn by creating your own small sculpture. You will explore organic and geometric forms, using a Plasma cutter, torches, hand tools, and your own imagination. Two days will cover the basics, give you time be creative and learn how to setup your own home studio.
Sew, quilt, and connect in our beautiful new studio! Bring your own projects and supplies and enjoy the company of fellow creatives. The studio is spacious, well lit, and equipped with plenty of table space, an ironing station, a cutting station, and basic supplies. There is no formal instruction, but you will have the support of our studio lead and local quilter, Susan Damone Balch.

Ahoy Mateys! Spend a day this summer and learn to carve a miniature Sea Captain in the flat-plane style. He stands 3 1/2 inches high in his oilskins and boots and makes a worthy challenge for a beginning carver. We will also paint and antique if time allows, all in this one day workshop with local carver Wayne Miller.
